What this policy covers

This policy covers the Rollcall iPhone application, its optional social features, shared event rolls, AI tools, and this website.

You can create cameras, shoot rolls, develop photographs, and maintain a local library without creating a Rollcall account.

Information stored on your device

• Camera recipes, rolls, developed photographs, archives, hidden-item choices, and app preferences.
• Legacy video reels created in earlier test builds remain on your device until you export or delete them, but current builds do not record new video.
• Source and RAW captures in Rollcall’s private application storage until you export or delete the corresponding media.
• Your AI provider key in Apple Keychain. Rollcall does not place the key in camera recipes, posts, or ordinary app state.

Information used for social features

When you voluntarily create an account, Rollcall stores your chosen username, display name, biography, profile image, and a private link to your Sign in with Apple identity.

When you publish or participate, Rollcall may store posts, captions, comments, follows, camera recipes, shared-event details, event membership, contributed media, reports, blocks, and associated timestamps and identifiers.

• Public profile information and anything you publish can be seen by other Rollcall users.
• CloudKit stores social data using Apple’s infrastructure.
• Your Sign in with Apple subject and account link are kept in your private CloudKit database and are not published in the public database.

Photos, camera, and exports

Rollcall uses the camera for photographs, viewfinder operation, and photographing camera references. Photo-library access is used when you deliberately select a camera reference, and add-only access is used when you explicitly save a photograph to your phone.

Rollcall does not upload your private local library merely because you grant a system permission. Media is uploaded only when you deliberately publish, contribute to a shared event, or approve an AI request.

Optional third-party AI

AI creation tools are visible by default. Before the first AI request, Rollcall explains the data sharing and asks for permission. If you continue, Rollcall sends the camera prompt and any reference image you deliberately selected to the configured provider. The current built-in adapter uses OpenAI.

Your use of an AI provider is also governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Rollcall does not send your social profile, private library, or unrelated captures as part of an AI request.

You can withdraw AI consent by disabling AI tools in Settings. Disabling AI prevents new uploads and removes the stored provider key from the device when you choose “Remove Key.”

Moderation and safety

Rollcall uses automated text checks, user reporting, account blocking, visibility controls, and human review to protect the community. Reports may include the reporting account, the reported item or account, a reason, details, status, and timestamps.

We may preserve limited records needed to investigate abuse, prevent repeated violations, comply with law, or protect users even after other account data is deleted.

How information is used

• Provide local photography, development, export, account, social, and shared-event features.
• Display content according to your publishing and privacy choices.
• Operate safety systems, investigate reports, enforce the Terms and Community Guidelines, and prevent abuse.
• Diagnose failures when you contact support and provide the information needed to investigate.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

Tracking, advertising, and sale

Rollcall does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Local media remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Published data remains until you delete the item, delete your account, or it is removed for safety or legal reasons.

Deleting your Rollcall account removes the account profile and associated posts, uploaded media, comments, follows, published cameras, memberships, and contributions that Rollcall is permitted to delete. Shared content incorporated into another person’s event may be retained only when required for integrity, safety, or law, and will be de-identified where practical.

Account deletion is available inside Rollcall under Settings → Account. Your private local camera library remains on the iPhone unless you separately delete it or uninstall the app.

Children

Rollcall is not directed to children under 13. Public social participation is intended only for people old enough to consent to data processing in their country. Parents or guardians can contact support regarding a minor’s information.

Your choices and rights

• Use private photography features without an account.
• Social Rollcall is available by default. The first time you open it, you can continue or disable the social interface and its network activity; the same control remains in Settings.
• Disable AI tools and withdraw permission for future AI requests.
• Edit or delete your posts, comments, profile, and account.
• Block accounts and report content or conduct.
• Contact support to request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion where applicable.
